I use an Odorless Fat Medium for flow and a Smooth Gel Medium for Impasto work. Both Archival Brand and both fast drying.

Your basic brush set for acrylic painting or oil painting should include a Filbert, size 4 to 6 depending on brand. Ideally 1cm across. 1 size 2 flat brush, Size 12 Flat Brush, Size 12 Round Brush, Size 2 Round Brush, Size 0 Round Brush and Size 0 or 00 round detail brush.

I use a variety of Palette knives. They are good for oil painting or acrylic painting. Here are a few of my favourite shapes. I would recommend you get a rectangle and a triangle. I also use the Atelier Heavy Gel Gloss Impasto Medium when using Acrylic paint. We have packs of plastic palette knives for sale as part of our discounted art supplies. Contact us for more info.
